Ssese Islands in Uganda still remains a destination of choice for anyone seeking a weekend place to unwind, relax near Lake Victoria. The Ssese Islands is an archipelago of 84 small islands on Lake victoria and the most developed still stands out as the Bugala Islands, where majority of the Ssese Island hotels are situated. Getting to the Ssese islands is pretty simple and affordable. Ferry service is readily available in Nakiwogo, Entebbe and as well as the Bukakata in Masaka. The Entebbe ferry departs at 2pm daily, whereas the Bukakata ferry departs at 5 times daily. Get your self a hotel reservation as early as possible to attract a good deal and avoid last minute preparation as they can prove costly.
